Per il proseguo della mia tesi sarei interessato a mandare questa sorta di CV per provare a diventare docente in questo importante gruppo di e-learning. Mi ha invitato Gaia Rossini a fare questa cosa e penso che lo farò molto volentieri.

If you have the ability and commitment to teach analytically, develop new curriculum, prepare your classes meticulously, and inspire students by giving them the tools to learn more, the Academy of Second Learning may be the place for you.

ASL instructors enjoy teaching, learning, and growing in a dynamic, live classroom setting, and take pride in their teaching. We have a passion for excellence.

Previous experience teaching adults either in real life or Second Life is welcome, but not mandatory.  Our faculty members share their knowledge and experience with each other.  We outfit our staff with basic teaching aids and provide training and assistance with course development and supplies.  We pay our instructors.

About ASL:
The Academy of Second Learning was founded in early 2006 by some of the most experienced educators in Second Life, and is committed to offering high-quality live education to the SL community at no charge to students.  Our main campus is at Eson (32, 162, 351).

How To Apply:
* First, drop in and take five classes at ASL.  All our classes are free.
* Next, fill out the ASL Teacher Application Form and submit it according to instructions below.
* Approved applicants will then be asked to develop curriculum for 2 new courses. Teacher Training and Mentoring will be offered to help applicants prepare.
* After curriculum approval, applicants will be evaluated by faculty in a live teaching situation to determine readiness. Teachers-in-training will be paid a training stipend of 250$L an hour for these classes.
* Successful applicants will be hired and eligible for a teaching stipend from 500$L/hour and up for classes taught.

To do this, hit the SEARCH button at the bottom of your SL window -> click on GROUPS tab -> then search for “Academy of Second Learning” (without the quotation marks) -> click on the group -> click the JOIN button. Alternatively, our classes can be found in the Events Calendar (SEARCH -> EVENTS) under the search term ^ASL^.

Preference will be given to applicants who reflect these values, have the demonstrated ability to write a detailed lesson plan, and are willing to start working immediately.

Questo blog sarà una sorta di web tv dove raccoglierò i contenuti podcast,e magari in futuro anche eventi live. Mi presento, sono Marco Moscotto e sono studente all’università statale di Milano alla facoltà di informatica. Questo progetto è la mia tesi universitaria che tratta e-learning sulla web tv sulla piattaforma Second life. I video che saranno messi qua sono di persone che mi sono state “vicine” in questo mio lavoro: dal prof. Gianni Degli Antoni, al neo laureato Stefano Mosca e al sig.
